It is very similar to a Japanese steamer.
The structure is the exact same, however, compared to a Japanese steamer, the bottom pot is much deeper.
The bottom pot is made deep for simmering vegetables and meat, then the steam from the bottom pot cooks the couscous above.
This is a reasonable idea for a desert country,. In addition to that, it gives a good taste to the couscous and makes a delicious dish.
